This page explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it and what rights you have. It is written in plain language, as required by the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who handles your data
The data controller is Gabi Maricica Munteanu, Via Parolari 77, 30174 Zelarino (VE), Italy — VAT/tax number 05000200278.
For anything concerning your data you can write to info@casamomi.it or call +39 375 9733770.
What data we collect
We only collect what we need in order to reply to you and to host you:
- Data you send us: name, email address, phone number and the content of your message, when you contact us by email or WhatsApp.
- Stay details: arrival and departure dates, number of guests and any particular needs you tell us about.
- Data required by law on arrival: the identity document details of every guest, which we are obliged to report to the Italian police within 24 hours of arrival (art. 109 of the Consolidated Public Security Act).
- Technical browsing data: the server hosting the site automatically records IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. These are ordinary system logs, used only for security and troubleshooting.
Why we process it
Every processing operation has a specific legal basis:
- Answering your enquiries about information and availability: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Managing your stay: performance of the holiday rental contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Reporting guests to the police and keeping accounting records: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- Keeping the website secure and working: our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Bookings go through Booking.com
Bookings do not take place on this website: the “Book Now” button takes you to Booking.com, which collects your data and payment as an independent data controller, under its own privacy policy.
We receive from Booking.com only what we need in order to host you: name, contact details, dates and number of people.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and uses neither Google Analytics nor any other profiling or statistics tool. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
The typefaces are the ones already installed on your device, so no external service is contacted in order to display the pages.
The only exception is the map on the Contact page, which comes from OpenStreetMap: when it loads, your IP address is passed to the OpenStreetMap Foundation, which sets no profiling cookies. If you would rather it did not load, simply do not open the Contact page, or use the “Open in Google Maps” link, which takes you to an external site with its own rules.
If you message us on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp button on our pages is simply a link: it loads no script, sets no cookies and passes nothing to anyone until you use it.
If you do open it, the conversation takes place inside WhatsApp, a service of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, which processes the messaging data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. We see your phone number, your profile name and the content of your messages, and we keep them for as long as we need to handle your enquiry and any stay.
If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can write to the email address above: it makes no difference to us.
Who we share data with
Your data is never sold or passed on for commercial purposes. It may only be seen by:
- Aruba S.p.A. - Via San Clemente, 53 - 24036 Ponte San Pietro (BG) - P.IVA 01604870165, which hosts the website and keeps the server logs, acting as a data processor;
- Booking.com, for bookings made through the platform;
- Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, if you choose to message us on WhatsApp;
- the public security authorities and the municipal administration, where the law requires it;
- our accountant, for bookkeeping purposes.
Where and how long we keep it
Data is kept on servers located in the European Union. We do not transfer data outside the EU; any transfers carried out by Booking.com are governed by its own policy.
We keep the messages we receive for 24 months, stay details and accounting records for 10 years as required by Italian tax law, and police notifications for the period set by law. Server logs are kept by the provider for a few days.
Your rights
At any time you may ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, object to the processing, or receive it in a readable format to take elsewhere. We will reply within one month.
Just write to info@casamomi.it. If you believe the processing breaches the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of your own country.
Changes to this policy
If we change the way we handle data we will update this page and the date shown above. Do come back and read it from time to time.
